THE PERFECT SPACE TO CREATE
Located in one of Manchester, New Hampshires historic mill buildings, Blackheart is the most relaxing and comfortable creative environment you'll find in New England.

My name is Eric Sauter, and I've been making records with bands consistently since 2016. I like making records the old fashioned way, combining tried-and-true audio engineering with modern techniques and equipment to bring your art to life.

spacious
This 1600 sq. ft studio features a large 30x18 live room with 32 channels running to the control room and a large amp iso-room. It's large enough to accommodate a band of any size in comfort. Drums sound huge in here.

comfortable
The 450 sq. ft control room is
acoustically treated to be a great listening environment and a vibey hangout spot.

Comfy. Cozy. Lots of keyboards, synths and guitars. A great place to spend a day producing music.

equipped
We're decked out in industry standard microphones and recording hardware, with enough amps, drums and instruments on site to backline four bands.

The studio also features a Hammond C3 with Leslie, as well as Yamaha U1 and Wurlitzer upright pianos

Eric Sauter
Owner/ENGINEER
I've been making music since I was a teenager, and recording my own since I was 19, on top of playing in multiple rock, punk and metal bands in the New England area since 2010.
In 2016, I started recording bands in practice spaces and whatever rooms I could do so. My vision was simple; offer the best engineering services to local bands at an affordable price. Since then, my recording career has led me to have engineering/mixing or mastering credits on 200+ releases.

Crafting records and songs with artists is my favorite thing to do in life.

Blackheart Sound is my studio, which has operated in Manchester since 2020. It's a space I've purpose built to create records and songs from front to back. Big enough to record a rock album live, and simultaneously cozy enough to have a simple vocal session.
